Wedding Erik and Lauren
What a beautiful day it was for a wedding. When booking these events, I can’t say I don’t think about the weather, I do. I expect it to be really hot on an August day and humid. So very thankful on this day it was not. It was perfect, as it was for the rehearsal the night before.
I was the dj for this event so you may notices some gaps in the coverage.
This event was held at the Brookmere Winery. It’s a beautiful place I have played many times before and hopefully will again. There are ample places for amazing photos and the staff there is always easy to work with.
The ceremony started at 3 and events under the pavilion got underway not long after. The meal was great. It was served by Big Belly Deli. Really good food!
After the meal the groom and bride visited as many tables as they could and then the dances. Starting with the father bride dance, I kept my eye on the maid of honor who was behind the head table. I did notice that she either had something in her eye or she was wiping tears as the dance happened. Noticed the bride having the same problem. I even think that the father had just a hint of this problem.
Next was the groom and his mom. A little less than half way through it they were joined by the ring bearer. There is a chance he didn’t like someone dancing with his grammy.
We kept things moving with the bouquet and garter toss then….. the cake. Oh, and just so you know, when I met with Lauren to go over the plans for this day, I ask her if she thought she would be smashing the cake. I believe she said something to the effect of “your darn right I will”. And that they did! I was across the room so I didn’t get the best picture, but you can see neither the bride or the groom showed mercy.
After the formal dances and so on we danced. Well, I didn’t but the people attending did.
I am grateful for Erik and Lauren allowing me to be part of their special day. As with everyone that books me I do appreciate it. It had been two weeks since the last wedding because of class reunions the week before. I do like watching two people in love say I do. Thank you!
