Lillian’s First Birthday Party
I got a call from the mother of a soon to be one year old Lillian. She didn’t think I would be available for a Saturday party, but I was.
It was a beautiful August afternoon and the theme for the party was mermaids. I could tell it was going to be a well decorated event because driving up the lane was a welcoming sign saying so.
Down back at the pool party there were decorations everywhere and The Little Mermaid showing on the tv. The decorations were aqua, blues and purples. Lillian was dressed in the same colors as was most of the family and a lot of friends.
There was a backdrop set up and we got a lot of pictures of the other kids attending. I didn’t think the adults would pose so i tried to capture them when they were not looking. I believe I got the most of them.
The food was amazing and there was a lot of it. Because I take pictures of food with my phone when I am at a restaurant, I took some at this party too, but I didn’t post them here.
This is the first time I was ask to do a photography job like this. I tried to get as many pictures as I could without being annoying or getting in peoples faces too much. The cake smash was a lot of fun and I believe Lillian may start to do that on a regular bases. That is if there is a large crowd there cheering her on like there was today.
