Team Photos
My step kids attend Calvary Christian Academy. My older stepson plays basketball and before each boys game the girls team plays. I try to get there to get pics during the home games of the boys and girls teams. Just for fun on day I ask the girls coach if I could come down someday and take some shots of the team. I figure the girls would enjoy it while for the boys it would be like pulling teeth.
I had my step daughter with me as an assistant and fill in light stand. We set u three lights and got the girls to do a couple team shots first. Since this was my first try at team photos there was a learning curve everywhere. I have seen a similar style in a lot of different high schools and spent a few hours researching the lighting of other photographers. Limited on time, I didn’t have a lot of time to experiment, but I was ok with just getting to do it.
As for lighting and using three lights I had to find a way to trigger two different kinds of lights wit on shuttler click. I found and item on amazon that allowed me to put two triggers for the lights on one hot show on top of the camera. It worked pretty well and worth the 14 bucks. Now if i just find the opportunity to use it again it will be great.
I have several more photos than I am posting here but wanted to take care of one each of the team. They were great to work with as was the coach and I look forward to doing more.
