Clinton & Megan – Wedding

We were fortunate to be the DJ, Photographer and Photo booth for the last wedding of the season at Union Grove LLC. In Broad Top PA. We were again, fortunate to be at this venue around six times this year. It’s a beautiful place, we love.

When talking with the bride, Megan, before the wedding, we knew it was going to be a small group of people. Only about 60. When first arriving we made sure the sound system and photo booth was working properly. Then off to grab some photos.

The chairs were nicely arranged inside the building in a semi circle. Usually we are set up outside with the amazing view at Union Grove, but because of the temperature, 34 degrees, everything was inside.

I was a bit worried about the lighting inside. I thought it would be really dark, but I forgot about the chandelier that was added recently. The only issue with the chandelier is that it was throwing off a blue kind of light. The other lights were throwing off more of a yellow light. The yellow was amplified a bit by the colors of the walls. Fortunately I was there the night before and used a white card to get a good starting point.

I got to get a few shots of Megan getting ready. I am not sure what was said, but while Megan was near the window her mom said something that brought instant tears. Awesome moment and I got a few shots of that. I took some shots of her dress and shoes and then ask her to stand near a giant mirror that just says “take pictures with me!!”. One of my favorites was Megan in the mirror with her mom off to the side.

We got to the ceremony and another moment I will remember is when I looked to the back to see Megan looking at her dad with giant tears ready to fall. She pulled it together and made it to the front no problem. Her dress was stunning and Clinton had to skip a heart beat as it was the first time he saw it.

The ceremony went off without any problems and as cold as it was, the bride wanted to go outside for a few pictures. We did and even though I had a big jacket on, it was cold. We spent a total of about ten minutes outside.

When we got inside I recruited Megan’s mom to get folks that wanted a picture ready and bam, bam, bam we got through them.

I’ll post more photos over on my facebook page, and as always if you have any questions please contact me. Thanks to Megan and Clinton for the wonderful day.
