A boy, a car and a movie theater

Washington Street in Huntingdon PA

I’ve haven’t taken a lot of car photos, but a few weeks ago I received a call about doing some. The car, and I hope I get the year correct, a 1969 Camaro! I agreed to do it right away. The photos were to be submitted to an advertising agency in Ohio after they were taken. The car is set to appear in the PPG Paints 2021 calendar. From the looks of it, you can see why.

Locally, a lot of folks may know who the car belongs to. I didn’t ask, so I won’t mention the name, but this car is a work of art and was totally restored by the owner. Paint and all, done by the owner. The paint, is of course, PPG paint, an excellent color of blue.

We took an evening and a morning to travel to a couple different locations. Again, local folks might recognize the backgrounds. One includes a run down gas station, a storage building, a local movie theater and lastly a local factory.

This was my first time at shooting a car “professionally”.  If you follow this blog, you know almost everything here has a person or people in them. so I was happy when my cousins boy showed up and posed for a couple.

I think there were a lot of other things we could have tried when taking the photos, but the agency was very strict on what they wanted. In fact, none of the photos here were sent to therm. The hardest thing for me was to NOT get close. All the photos I sent to the agency had a lot of space around the car so they could crop and edit things.

Hopefully by late fall the calendar will be out and I will be able to see what they did with the photos. Another stipulation was the photos I sent were not allowed to be edited in any way. As mentioned earlier, they were going to take care of that.

If you need any photos for almost, almost anything just let me know. Please feel free to  Contact me!
